Membership and Meeting Costs

Membership in Chatswood Early Risers Toastmasters club is a cost-effective way to develop your public-speaking skills. The costs of joining the club and being an active member are as follows:

Joining Fee

There is a one off joining fee of $40 which covers the New Member Kit provided by Toastmaster International and the magnetic name badge arranged by Chatswood Early Risers. In addition there is a subscription component which varies depending on the month and calculated on a pro-rata basis of $7 per month, shown in the table below. This amount covers the monthly Toastmasters Magazine.

The New Member Kit is comprised of the Communication and Leadership Program book (containing the first ten speech assignments), Competent Leader manual and the following guides: Your Speaking Voice, Gestures: Your Body Speaks and Effective Speech Evaluation.

Semi-annual dues

In March and September, semi-annual dues of $42 is payable by each member irrespective of the joining date. This money is sent to Toastmasters International and pays for the monthly magazine and insurance costs.

Meeting costs

The cost of each meeting is $4 and this pays for the hire of the room at the Dougherty Centre. Guests are not asked to pay on their first visit.
